CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
Starting as early as Monday, June 16, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will begin construction on northbound State Route (SR) 36 between Interstate 80 (I-80) and Stansbury Parkway in Tooele County. This project will widen, improve, and resurface the intersections and add an auxiliary lane to eastbound I-80 from SR-36 to the SR-201 exit. Construction is anticipated to continue through summer 2026.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Day work Monday through Friday with night work as needed
- 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Lane closures as needed
- Increased noise, dust and vibration
- Minor travel delays
- Reduced lane widths and shoulders on eastbound I-80
Southbound SR-36 Completion
Crews will complete construction on southbound SR-36 in summer 2025. This project included widening southbound SR-36 to three lanes and improving and resurfacing the intersections from Sunset Road to Stansbury Parkway.
