
Tooele County Transportation Improvements

- SR-36 SB; Sunset Ln to Stansbury Pkwy
Project Overview: UDOT is widening a three-mile section of southbound SR-36 between Sunset Lane and Stansbury Parkway. Construction work will resume in spring 2025 with the project scheduled to be complete in summer 2025.
Anticipated Traffic Impacts: Shoulder and lanes closures. - 1-80; EB Auxiliary Lane and SR-36 NB Lane
Project Overview: With this project, UDOT will widen northbound SR-36 to three lanes between Pole Canyon Road and the 1-80 interchange. In addition, an eastbound auxiliary lane on 1-80 will be added between the SR-36/I-80 interchange and the SR
-201/1-80 interchange. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring and be complete by late 2025. Anticipated Traffic Impacts: Motorists should expect periodic lane restrictions outside of commute times, closures of the roadway shoulders and minor to moderate travel delays. - SR-36 Drainage Repair
Project Overview: UDOT will upgrade roadway drainage systems along SR-36 near MP 26.5 (Faust Rd) and MP 46.8 (Soldier Creek). Construction is scheduled for summer 2025.
Anticipated Traffic Impacts: Motorists should expect one-way traffic and moderate travel delays. - SR-112 at 600 W
Project Overview: To enhance roadway safety, UDOT plans to install a new traffic signal and upgrade the intersection of 1000 North (SR-112) and 600 West in Tooele City.
Anticipated Traffic Impacts: Motorists should expect shifting lanes, shoulder work, and minimal travel delays. - SR-71 & SR-36; FYA & Lighting Improvements:
Project Overview: To enhance the safety of the road, UDOT will install Flashing Yellow Turn Arrows at various intersections along 12300 South in Salt Lake County and SR-36 in Tooele County to provide additional opportunities for drivers to safely make left turns. This project includes upgraded lighting at intersections to increase visibility for all users. Construction is scheduled for summer 2025. Anticipated Traffic Impacts: Drivers should expect periodic lane restrictions and minor travel delays while crews install new signals and overhead lighting.
