Speed is a critical factor in transportation for several reasons, including safety, time efficiency, comfort, convenience, and economic impact. To better understand the dynamics of speed in traffic, speed studies are conducted. These studies analyze the speed distribution of vehicles at a specific location. The collected data from these studies are instrumental in determining vehicle speed percentiles. These percentiles are essential for making informed decisions related to speed limits, road design, and traffic regulations. Below, we present some speed studies that were conducted for Lake Point.
